2005 UEFA Final Game Economic Impact Study

2005 Method: Desk research The 2005 UEFA final game took place in Istanbul on May 25th. The research made use of data upon the termination of the event and aimed to determine its economic impact on Istanbul and Turkey. An input-output model was used for data analysis.TFF (Turkish Football Federation) presented the report to UEFA.

2012 European Football Championship Candidature File - Turkey

2005 Method: Desk research
  • Preparation of Turkey’s candidature file towards hosting the 2012 European Football Championship
  • The candidacy project comprised the provinces of Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, Antalya, Konya and Kayseri and the file was prepared in accordance with UEFA guidelines and specifications.

2005 Method: Qualitative and quantitative
  • Public opinion polling on football viewers’ opinions on various issues regarding the sport.
  • Viewer segmentation research based on research findings.

Olympic Games Istanbul Candidature File

1996, 2000, 2003 Method: Desk research

The candidature files were prepared in accordance with IOC (International Olympic Committee) guidelines and specifications. The final product was published in three volumes in English and French.

The project included:

  • Documenting Istanbul’s present and planned infrastructure regarding transportation, accommodation, technology, health, security, communications and media.
  • Assembling information to prepare the Istanbul Olympic Games organization plan. Preparing inventory lists for present and planned sports complexes in Istanbul.
  • Preparing publicity pamphlets and texts for the web site.
  • Presentations abroad in the bidding period, representing the Preparation and Organization Council for the Istanbul Olympic Games.
  • Presentations in Istanbul during the visit from the IOC Evaluation Commission.
